Chicken Korma Recipe

🛒 Ingredients
For Chicken:
Chicken: 1 kg (cut into medium pieces)
Yogurt: 1 cup (well beaten)
Onions: 3 large (thinly sliced & fried golden brown)
Ginger garlic paste: 2 tbsp
Red chili powder: 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder: ½ tsp
Coriander powder: 1 tbsp
Garam masala powder: 1 tsp
Green cardamom: 3–4
Cloves: 3–4
Cinnamon stick: 1 piece
Bay leaf: 1
Oil or ghee: ½ cup
Salt: to taste
For Garnish:
Fresh coriander leaves: chopped
Green chilies: sliced
👩🍳 Method
1️⃣ Heat oil or ghee in a large pot. Add whole spices (cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf) and sauté until fragrant.
2️⃣ Add sliced onions and fry until golden brown. Remove half for garnishing later.
3️⃣ Add ginger garlic paste and stir for 1 minute.
4️⃣ Add chicken pieces and cook until they turn light golden.
5️⃣ Add red chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
6️⃣ Add beaten yogurt gradually, stirring continuously to avoid curdling.
7️⃣ Cook on medium heat until oil separates and chicken is tender.
8️⃣ Sprinkle garam masala and mix gently.
9️⃣ Garnish with fried onions, fresh coriander, and green chilies.
